Help Ava and her puppies

Ava is a Shar Pei that Western Idaho Shar Pei Rescue took in this weekend, along with one of her three puppies. We were alerted to Ava months ago by a Good Samaritan that was trying to get her to trust him, so he could get her to us. We knew she had been running free for a long time, but we finally found out why.
Ava had an owner and when her owner passed away, her son came over and shot all of the dogs. Ava escaped and she was the only survivor. After all of that trauma, it tooks months for her to trust again and she was finally lured in to safety. By then she was pregnant, and she delivered 3 Pei/heeler mix puppies.
After all of that time on the run and having puppies, Ava is in pretty bad shape. She has an upper respiratory infection, ear infections, a severe case of an eye condition called entropion, both of her knees have badly luxating patellas, causing her walk bowlegged and her nails were so overgrown they had completely curled under. She is covered in scars and scabs and has an open wound on her head.
We took her and one of her puppies immediately because they both need urgent medical care. Her puppy, Nutmeg has a condition called Cherry Eye on both eyes and they will need surgery. She hadn't received any vaccinations, nor have the other two. We are picking up the other 2 in a week. They safe and well cared for where they are.
The medical care they need is as follows:
Ava - eye surgeries, spay, both knees, follow up care
Nutmeg - Eye surgeries, spay, further booster shots
Cinnamon - Spay, puppy shots
Bear (boy) - Neuter, puppy shots
All of them will be put up for adoption as soon as they receive this care.
Every penny raised for them will be used for them. Western Idaho Shar Pei Rescue does not take any administration fees. Much of the care we provide comes out of our own pockets, but this is going to be a big bill. So we need your help.
Ava is so sweet and loving (despite everything she has been through) and her puppies deserve a shot at a good home. We thoroughly screen all adopters and our dogs come with lifetime customer service. We love every dog as if it were our own.
