Help Relieve My Tia as She Battles Cancer

In this heartfelt moment, we come together to support a beacon of resilience and strength, our beloved Tia Zoraida. She stands on the brink of a challenging battle against Neuroendocrine & Adenocarcinoma Cancer, a fight that has threatened her home and the very essence of her being.

In early July, a sudden hospitalization due to Diabetic Ketoacidosis revealed an unexpected adversary lurking within her pancreas—a tumor. Two weeks of grappling with the turmoil of her body's inability to retain vital nutrients and liquids followed. With unwavering determination, Tia Zoraida finally gained a foothold on her health, fortified by the aid of a NG tube that allowed her body to absorb the essential sustenance it so desperately needed.

The surgery, a testament to her fortitude, took place in the latter part of mid-July.

This intricate procedure involved the removal of her spleen, gallbladder, 80% of her pancreas, and a staggering ¾ of her stomach. The scar, a reminder of this heroic battle, stretches from her breast's base to her belly button.

Tia Zoraida's journey embarks from the sun-soaked fields of Salitrillos, San Luis Potosi, Mexico. A humble beginning. Throughout her life, she has remained a steadfast dreamer, and at 23, she seized an opportunity that led her to the United States.

As life unfolded, she embraced motherhood, raising three children. Yet, an unexpected twist awaited in 2010, when her husband's untimely passing cast her as the sole provider for her family. Tia Zoraida's path has been one of unwavering toil—be it waiting tables, managing offices, working in factories, cleaning homes, or nourishing young minds as a school cafeteria worker. Life's trials only fueled her fire to endure, to persist, to thrive.

In 2020, a cherished dream was realized as she became a homeowner, purchasing her very own haven. An achievement celebrated as one of life's great triumphs. Today, however, this achievement stands threatened by the weight of health challenges and the uncertainties that lie ahead. Amidst the struggle for recovery, anxiety and depression cast their shadows.
