Lisa Ammon & Children
Donation protected
My son, Justin Ammon chose, in a time of emotional turmoil, to end his life. That was on August 5th...just 18 days ago. While we all (his family) are grieving, it is his wife, Lisa and his 4 children (ages 19, 16, 8 and 7) who are most impacted by this loss. It is for them that I reach out to you. There are so many unanswered questions, so much pain, so much turmoil for those left behind.
The needs keep marching on. Bills to pay and kids' needs to be met....an old van on its last leg to repair or replace... short term and long term decisions to make. It's all so overwhelming. Our grandchildren and our daughter-in-law need so much more than we can address from our social security incomes!
The most immediate need is to put them in safe 'wheels'. Then, while they wait (who knows how long) for social security for the children to kick in, they still need to have everyday funds. This is a family that has spent their lives living with very little. But even 'very little' costs something. They must replace a roof that doesn't keep the rain out, and the exterior doors are rotted through. The house, built in the late 1800's, doesn't even have any interior doors.
Clearly, without Justin's income, now the plans to make these repairs, has totally blown up! Lisa works at our local library for about 10 hours a month, and has been a community volunteer for many years. Our little town of 400 or less can only do so much. They just need more help than we can give them!
If you've lost a family member to suicide, you will understand the overwhelming grief. If you have not, please know that it is the most horrific pain imaginable, with so many 'never-to-be-answered' questions. Please reach out to this beautiful family. THANK YOU!!
When we focus on our gratitude, the tide of disappointment goes out and the tide of love rushes in.–(Kristin Armstrong)
