Help Don Croul re-build his home!
My name is Collette Perry and I am setting up this page to help my dear friends who lost their home in the Blue Cut fire. I live in Pinon Hills and love to spend time at their ranch every chance I get. Please donate if you can. These are real people who are long standing members of this community. Thank you so much!
Don Croul bought his ranch here in West Cajon Valley in 1976 and has made it his home ever since. He and his brother were home builders in Wrightwood for 29 years under the business name of Croul Construction. Don later worked for many of the realtors in the Wrightwood area performing repairs and building small additions, he has long served his community. Three years ago his house was burned by a devastating fire ignited by a cigarette left carelessly burning in his son’s bedroom. He had been gradually rebuilding on his own, all that remained was for him to install the wood floors. Now, in a cruel twist of fate, the home that he lovingly reconstructed has been lost in the devastating Blue Cut Fire, literally reduced to dust. He had been financially unable to purchase fire insurance due to the astronomical increases following the previous fire so there will be no compensation for the time, energy, expense, and love he had put into his home.
