Shit Pit Mural Fundraiser

At 9th & SE Stark is an empty lot that I’m raising money to completely cover with murals. The big reason why I have wanted this spot for a while is the huge West facing wall. For the past 4 summers I’ve been able to facilitate several big mural projects and this is the latest addition.
Last week Calm, Flash, Bundy, & I started work to show the potential of the spot. Bundy went full Rambo with a machete and cleared all the bushes, everyone painted a piece, and now we’re out of money. 
To complete the rest of the walls and take on the huge one I am trying to raise money for primer, paint, supplies, and a scissor lift. 
The reason for your supporting this project is to be a part of creating the city we want to keep living in. As stated above, for 4 years I have raised money for and coordinated multi artist free/low cost murals throughout Portland including multiple schools and community spaces. All of these murals were created with a true grassroots & DIY effort without any grants or city money and your financial support plays a crucial role in achieving this.
Even though Go Fund Me doesn’t require it there are also rewards for your donations. Many local businesses have generously donated gift certificates and there are paintings, shirts, sticker packs, etc. available from the artists involved.
I’ll be posting progress pics throughout the project so you can watch your donations in action. The goal is $1500 but once we reach 50% of that work will begin.
