2x Cancer Fighting Wife, Mother & Grandma

My name is Heather and I am the proud sister of a 2x Cancer Fighting Champion. Her name is Michele Cleaver, my brother's beautiful wife. On 11/16/2023 Michele was diagnosed with stage 4 bladder cancer. She has a couple more appointments before she can officially begin chemo, but as of now we do know that her cancer is on the interior and exterior of her bladder. We know she will need to have surgery to remove her bladder and have a complete hysterectomy as well. At this time, we do not know if it has spread anywhere else in her body, but we will keep everyone updated. In the meantime, I want to share something special with you.

Rewind 20 years ago, Michele was diagnosed with cancer on her spine called Mesenchymal Condro Sarcoma. After chemo and 5 surgeries, Michele was left with 3 rods in her back, 2 of which are broken and irreplaceable, 17 screws in her spine and now walks with a hunched back and pain everyday. Medical professionals didn't believe Michele would be able to ever walk again and gave her the lifespan of 2 years from diagnosis.

Jason and Michele have since been a power couple, now going on 24 years of life together. Jason is the sole monetary provider of the family while Michele is a stay at home Mamaw for their grandbabies. (Jason and Michele obtained permanent guardianship of their 4 yo grandson when he was 3 months old and are now also fostering their 15 month old granddaughter since she was 2 months old.)

As expected, Jason's income will become very limited. Whether it be to take care of their grandbabies, attend drs/chemo appts., provide support physically and emotionally for Michele - Jason will be there in any way possible to support his wife and family & we will be there with them every step of the way!!!
