2X Olympic Gymnast Janine Rankin Recieve Surgery

Hello, My name is Rob Abbott and I am fundraising for my wife Janine Rankin. Janine requires surgery on her skull, the exact condition is called SCDS which is a vary rare condition that causes her balance issues, hearing problems, pain, headaches that leave her unable to do a lot of normal day to day things.

The surgeon that is able to do the surgery is at John Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore Maryland.

Janine being Canadian has to pay for the surgery because the Canadian medical system will not pay for it.

Janine is a 2 time Olympic Gymnast, she competed in 4 world championships and has 2 moves named after her on the balance beam, the Rankin 1 and the Rankin 2.

Janine is a loving mother to her son Owen and wonderful wife to me.

Janine was in a car accident 17 years ago that caused the condition she has, it has taken this long to get a diagnosis and to find someone able to repair it.

Janine has gone from double backflips and one arm handstands

to not being able to walk across the room without stumbing and sometimes afalling over.
