Gabes Wedding

-INTRO-

Hello everyone.

Going to start off by saying, yes, I'm getting married. This is not a troll.

I've been working up the nerve to propose to my girlfriend for a while now, and on Christmas night 2022, I finally did it. And she said yes. Major Dub all things considered.

Before deciding to make a page like this I asked quite a few people (mainly TOs) if they thought it would be appropriate to fundraise for a wedding, as I had quite a few serious reservations about doing it. Coming across like I'm 'milking' the people that I've been closest to these last 3 years doesn't sit right with me. Especially considering that this is something happening in my personal life that hasn't really involved the smash comm up until this point. All that being said, here is why I'm deciding to try and fundraise:

-BRITTANY-

My fiance Brittany has been so unbelievably supportive of my Tournament Organizing endeavors, and she's consistently jumped through hoops to help me even though she has ZERO interest in Smash Bros, and has ZERO connection to the community other than myself. The support from her is seriously on another level.

The last period I spent in Oregon (Back in Blood 5 > Cascadia Clash) I was away from Brittany for 2 months, leaving her alone in a new state we had just moved to. Despite all that, she still supported me and pushed me to pursue my passions. It was during this period that I decided to marry her.

Simply put, I would not be able to do what I do without the people I have in my corner, and that includes Brittany. If you choose to donate, the money will go toward a small wedding at my dad's house where we will have food of her choice catered, and also pay for some of her family's lodging (nothing fancy). If you want to donate, we hugely appreciate it, if not, no worries.
