Health Finally on track yet still in temporary housing

I’m highly privileged and educated person and I’m trying very hard to just handle everything myself, but sometimes a person needs some help to get through a rough time. I can pay people back once I’m safe and have income again.
[ADDING UPDATE HERE JANUARY 2025]:
Hi everyone,
First, I want to say how much I’ve appreciated the support and kindness I’ve received in the past—it truly means so much to me. I wanted to share an update about what I’ve been going through and humbly ask for support as I work to rebuild.
In mid-2022, I became seriously ill due to mycotoxins (toxic mold) in my apartment. Despite moving to temporary housing on November 15, 2023, my health didn’t improve as expected.
In late summer, I encountered yet another space with mycotoxins, which quickly worsened my condition. Although I moved again, the damage had already been done. I had been working and doing well initially, but my health struggles began to affect my ability to stay employed.
After months of advocating for myself, a doctor finally ordered a mycotoxin test—something that should have happened much sooner, especially with the confirmed mold issues in my apartment walls. The test validated what I had suspected, and I’ve since been undergoing treatment to detox. Thankfully, after years of being unwell, I’m finally starting to feel like myself again.
Unfortunately, just as I was beginning to recover, I lost my job due to my illness. This happened shortly before the devastating fires in LA. While I’m doing everything I can to get back on my feet, I’m deeply worried about housing and navigating the job market once again.
I’ve been working tirelessly on my website, StephanieSpanjian.com, to showcase my skills and find new opportunities. I truly appreciated everyone’s kindness and support through my previous GoFundMe—it meant the world to me. I hate to ask for more, especially knowing how many others have lost so much in the fires. But if you’re able to help in any way—whether by contributing to my GoFundMe, sharing it, or helping me connect with job opportunities—I would be incredibly grateful.
Thank you for your time, compassion, and support.
[ADDING UPDATE HERE FEBRUARY 27 2024]:
Appreciate the help so far. Been in temporary housing since November 15th, 2023. Never would have gotten this far without everyone's help. Been interviewing a lot! Market seems to have picked up, so should have job soon. Please send positivity and if you can spare anything, I can pay you back hopefully very soon!
[BELOW IS THE ORIGINAL from over a year ago]
I’m sick with mild fever and fatigue weekly. I keep smelling rotten mold and cat poo and if I open windows I have gotten fire contamination and sometimes mold from outside. Cannot figure out from what or where. Hired a vendor to come Tuesday. It will cost $550. They said to shut off all my air filters and keep everything closed so they can get good samples. That was Thursday morning and I felt really healthy at the time, so I said ok. I made sure to be outside during the days as much as possible. I still needed to sleep at home though. I didn’t think it would be that bad.
This morning I woke up with asthma and what seems to be pinky eye. I keep coughing and I can’t seem to catch my breath. Even outside right now. I’m not sure what to do. I moved here in May and have since bought four air filters and cleaned mold out of the toilet and cleaned my home so often. I’m exhausted. I’ve been to urgent care and they gave me steroids. It helped and I’d feel ok but sure enough I’d get sick again and again. No Covid. It’s environmental. They said it was and to get vendor.
I have so many interviews coming up and I can do quite well if I can just be healthy for next few weeks. I can pay everyone back after I get moved and on my feet again. I have things I can auction off. Heck I’d sell my car if I didn’t have payments that equal the car.
I have medical bills piling up and I’m currently at urgent care. Please help and I’ll post things I can do away with like paintings or gamer chair etc when I can be home safely.
