It’s with great sadness and lasting hope that we invite you to join #OurMelissa fundraiser to provide much-needed assistance for Melissa Hunter and her family. A devoted mother, loving wife, cherished daughter, aunt, and friend, Melissa is an extraordinary woman who brings joy and laughter to everyone she meets. Despite her current health status – and in true Melissa fashion – she still exudes strength and determination while fighting for her life. Please join us in rallying behind Melissa and her loved ones to offer the support they need during this challenging chapter of their lives.

Melissa is currently on life support as she faces an unimaginable medical crisis. Days after bringing her beautiful daughter Zoey into this world, Melissa began to experience critical complications. Always one to solve a problem head-on, Melissa sensed her health was failing and immediately sought help. After going into severe septic shock on June 22 and facing vital organ failure, Melissa was put on ECMO to allow her body a chance to fight back.

We’re raising funds in order to make a lasting difference in Melissa’s battle for survival, and to support her newborn and healthy baby, Zoey, her almost 3-year-old daughter, Nora and her devoted husband, Nick, as they navigate their darkest days.

Any and all funds raised will directly contribute to medical expenses, childcare support including formula for Zoey, and household essentials, allowing her family to focus on their well-being during this unthinkable time. By alleviating these financial stressors, we hope to create a stable environment for Melissa’s loved ones to concentrate on her recovery and to care for Zoey and Nora.
