2-Year-Old Carlo Needs a New Heart

Baby Carlo will be 2 years old this month. He was born six weeks premature. At birth he was diagnosed with ebsteins anomaly, a rare heart condition that doesn’t allow oxygen to flow properly to his heart. He was in the NICU for 2 months and has been on oxygen since day 1. He has had three heart surgeries. His last open heart surgery caused his lungs to fill with fluid. Doctors were able to drain the fluid over a one month period, and he was able to come home.

Now the liquid has entered the area surrounding his heart. He needs an emergency heart transplant. Children's Hospital in Pennsylvania has found a heart donor; however, his insurance is not able to cover the total expense.

Family and our church organization have been able to raise $32,000 dollars so far. However, we are still short $10,223 dollars for the hospital to proceed with this procedure. It’s been a rough road for my son and the transition he is in . Any support would be greatly appreciated.
