Chicago Summer Opera Program
Donation protected
Hello everyone! I have the opportunity to participate in Chicago Summer Opera's production of Le nozze di Figaro this August. I have been offered the role of Barbarina, and in addition to learning and performing this role, I will have access to coachings, voice lessons, diction lessons, acting lessons, and master classes with esteemed performers.
The program begins on August 7th and ends with two concert performances of Le nozze di Figaro on August 23rd and 25th.

For those who may not know me, I attended Simpson College in Indianola, IA where I received my Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance. I participated in many of the operas at Simpson, including the roles of Olimpia in Prima Donna and Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro. I have just recently graduated from University of Minnesota Duluth with my Masters of Music in vocal performance. While at UMD, I also participated in Opera Studio, culminating in the role of Flaminia in our recent production of Haydn's The World of the Moon. I also acted as a performer and stage director with the Voyageurs program at UMD where we performed outreach shows for elementary schools and directed residency shows at the local middle schools. Currently, I am in the process of planning my next step after graduation, and my goal is to begin my operatic career and start training extensively.
Chicago Summer Opera's training program is just the first step on this journey, and I am so excited to participate. This amazing opportunity is not free, however, and as a recently graduated masters student, I do not have a lot of extra cash to spare. I have not received any scholarships for this program currently, and with school debts and an impending move in my near future, I need all the help I can get to make this training opportunity possible.
$2,250 will go to Chicago Summer Opera's tuition costs only.
Anything that you can donate would be so incredibly generous! If you have any questions for me about the program or what I do, please feel free to contact me.
Thank you!
