2-Year Preschool Scholarship
Tax deductible
My name is Casey Townsend. I am part of the Southport Community and serve as a Volunteer at a local church in Family Ministry. There is a family that I have met through this ministry that I would like to help and would love for you to be a part of impacting their lives in a BIG WAY. The family is a recently seperated, young, single mother, and her 3-year old son. They have asked to remain anonymous. This woman was a stay-at-home Nanny and mother to her son, and in a troubled marriage. The couple is seperated and is planning for divorce. Their 3-year old son is suffering greatly emotionally and has little stability as his mom has had to seek out full time employment very suddently. The 3-year old does not have a regular caregiver. His mother has no choice but to place him with whoever is available to watch him during her shifts at work, even people who her son does not know. They are in survival mode right now.
There are details that are being left out due to confidentiality, but know that this little boy is being put in potentially compromising situations. He is in desperate need of stability and a consistent schedule and needs your help! At this moment in time, he is dependent only on his mother, who is young and making low wages. His grandparents are still employed and are unable to take over as his caregivers.
I have spent time with this mother, and with this little boy. He has been restless, and his need for stability shows through clinging on to me while he spends time with me at church.
The desire of this young mother is that her son is well taken care of and has stability and security. Why wouldn't she want the best for her son? Let's help this child and give him the best that we can!
With Preschool, you often get what you pay for. Southport Christian School has a wonderful Preschool Program, and has already offered this little boy a small scholarship to help pay for his tuition, but most of the cost is still up to his mother.
This mother and child are depending on God and this fundraiser to help the child have enough money to attend the Southport Christian School Preschool until he is ready for Kindergarten, at which point he will most likely attend public school. Attending here would allow for the Grandparents to pick him up after school is over while the child's mother is still at work.
The Christian School would not only provide him a safe environment, but would be training this little boy up in the way in he should go and could potentially change the course of his future.
I see God's heart in the eyes of children. I see a little boy, but if I look long enough, I can also see a man many years from now. What will he grow up to become? I want to show him the Love of Christ and that He is powerful and faithful.
These funds are needed as soon as possible, as the school year has already begun. The first month of his tuition has been paid for.
I would like to raise the funds to pay for the next two years of his Preschool tuition, to ease the mother's mind and to provide extra security.
Please partner with me changing the life of this little boy!
