Help Save Our Home

Hi, I’m Jon and in July 2019 my family suffered a life altering loss; my mom died of breast cancer. We had no idea that this was just the beginning of what has been the worst time of our lives. Just weeks after losing our mom, our dad suddenly became ill and just 61 days after losing her, we lost him, too.

If that weren’t enough, we lost my grandpa six months after my dad in March 2020. A year later, my younger brother died in May 2021. As a result of all this loss, my sister and I find ourselves raising my 12 year old nephew. On top of all that, we find ourselves at risk of losing our home.

The home has been specifically remodeled to meet my needs as someone born with cerebral palsy and a wheelchair user. There are ramps so I can get in and out, an additional door added to my bedroom because the original one opens to a hallway I can’t go through and the biggest renovation, a bedroom and bathroom with an accessible shower.

It was my parents wish that I could live in the home for the rest of my life. Unfortunately, they never signed a will and now I am on the verge of homelessness  with nowhere to go. I am doing this fundraiser in hopes of raising the $106,000 needed to keep the home and fulfill their wish. Thank you for your generosity.
