On April 13th, there was a horrible car accident on Route 1 & 9 going South. Right before the second bridge by the Exxon Mobil gas station. A driver was driving recklessly and caused a four car crash.

My son Jamal was one of them. His car was sandwiched in between 2 of the vehicles and flipped in the air. Crushing his car so badly that he had to be cut out of the car and rushed to the hospital. He miraculously survived after undergoing life saving surgery and was in the trauma unit where he stayed for a few days and then was in the ICU for a week and a half. His neck was broken and Jamal has lost his ability to function independently. He has been in a rehabilitation unit for a month now with another month to go. He will need to go to outpatient rehabilitation after he is released.

Jamal is facing a long road to recovery. As his mother, I have taken a leave of absence to be by his side. His six-year old son Kylen has only recently been able to visit him at the rehab center but misses his dad taking him to and from school, playing with him and being there for him.

This accident is taking an emotional and financial toll on my family.
Doctors aren't able to say when Jamal will be able to work again, and until he is able to eat by himself I won't leave his side.

I am hoping this campaign can help us stay afloat.
We are thankful and appreciative for your help as well as for any continued prayers.
