Surgery for London

Hello my friends,
Many of you have followed London since she was a puppy. All of her shenanigans, silliness and love. Today, I am asking for help for London's surgery. She has to have a parathyroidectomy. This is a curative surgery. Without it, she would ultimately succumb to renal and kidney failure. But, this surgery and follow-up care should prevent this from happening. If this was not a curative surgery, I would not be doing this. I have always been a big supporter in quality of life.
Parathyroid issues in dogs are rare. I am fortunate to have a surgeon that has successfully performed 30 of these this year. According to her surgeon, he and I will be "married" for 2 months following the surgery. London will have to go in every day for 2 weeks to check her calcium levels. The following 2 weeks probably every other day. The second month will be once/week. She is having her surgery/care at Veterinary Referral Associates in Gaithersburg, MD.
To say I am humbled by this process in an understatement. London & I thank you for always giving us the heart support every time she thinks she needs to keep me on my toes.
Much love,
Raimi & London
