Mason Strong

As many of you have heard, Mason has been a very sick little guy. On April 23rd, Mason was admitted to Mercy, where they discover he had a bad infection that spread internally in his arm, leg, and heart. 

After undergoing two surgeries, and many rounds of antibiotics, the pediatrician agreed with parents that he should transfer to St. Louis Children's Hospital for further treatment on his heart. 

On the evening of May 2nd, he arrived in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, where they greeted him with more testing.

Today, May 6th, at 8:30 am, Mason will have open-heart surgery, to hopefully get the rest of the infection and replace a valve. 

 Mason is such a sweet and active six-year-old. Rachel and Bryan have been by Mason's bedside around the clock. Unfortunately, this is going to be a long road for Mason and his family. We hope you will keep them all in your thoughts and prayers.
