Philly Summer Music Program Tuition

Hi!

My name is Angelo Ciriello, I am 16 years old from Miami, Florida. I have been playing clarinet for a little over 4 years and am currently studying at New World School of the Arts where I am a Sophmore. In my short time playing clarinet I have taken it very seriously and have accumulated a few accolades, some being:

- Participating in FMEA Florida AllState Ensembles for 3 years running; beginning with the Middle School Band, then the Concert Band, and in this past january sitting as principal clarinet in the Concert Orchestra.

- Serving as the youngest member of the Florida International University's Clarinet Choir playing E flat Clarinet

- Recieving the "Outstanding Musician Award" awarded to me by the National Band Association for winning and performing in Stetson University's Young Artist Recital.

And recently I recieved news that will allow me to add something to my list!

I have been accepted into the Philadelphia International Music Festival's most prestigious program,  the Solo Performance Program. It only accepts 28 musicians from all over the world, ages 13-19, and I was lucky enough to be one of them! I would be attending the festival for 2 weeks in June playing clarinet daily in a music-intensive, nourishing environment. Specifically, the festival offers:

- Lessons 3 to 4 times a week with memebers of the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra

- My own piano accompanist that I will get daily time with to help me learn to perform advanced repitoire

-  Solo performance classes

-  Daily master classes with special guests

-  Daily Chamber Music sessions

- The opportunity  to compete in various competitons adjudicated by Philadelphia Orchestra members 

- And of course, help me make lifelong musical and social connections with musicians from all over the world!

I know that if I am afforded this unbelievable opportunity I will be a changed, more mature musician. Although I did receive a scholarship, it is unfortunetly not enough and I just don't have the funds to satisfy my tuition. However, with help it could all be possible -this is why I am asking for your support... if I could attend this prestigious music festival during the summer, I would be eternally grateful! :)
