Help willow recover from spine surgery
Donation protected
hello everyone! My name is Carol-anne and I am fundraising due to multiple people asking me what they can do to help me with willow's recent surgery.
My 3 year old puggle recently started having extreme back pain and weakness in her hind legs. I brought her to the ER and they suggested an MRI. I originally chose conservative care with rest and pain medications. She seemed to be improving but then took a turn for the worst. Her legs were starting to give out and she would be up all night panting and shaking. She started refusing to take her medicine so I brought her back to the vet.
We met with the neurologist and she suggested an MRI. We did the MRI today which cost $3,000. The neurologist said she had a slipped disc with pressure on her spinal cord and spinal nerves and she recommended surgery today.
So as I am typing this my dog is in surgery. They will be keeping her at the vet for 4 days post op to ensure that she rests and doesn't exert herself.
I will post the estimate they gave me for the surgery.
For those of you that know me I am the last person to ask for help. I am posting this gofundme because a few of you have reached out to me wanting to help.
I've had my girl, willow since she was 8 weeks old. She is my life. I treat her as my child. I take her every where I go. Its just she and I at home and she is my little shadow.
I have been stressing out about how I'm going to pay for all of this as I am putting it on my credit cards. I did not have pet insurance on her and I can't stress enough to those of you who don't have it on your pets to get it now!
Thank you for everyone who has reached out wanting to help. I appreciate you more than you know!
