Hi,
My name is Vernonne Sloan. I am married to a fantastic man, have 4 wonderful children and 10 amazing grandchildren! They are all a super support system.
I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2000. Before I was diagnosed with MS, I was a healthy, active woman. I loved to play different sports and I was always on the go! Now, I can't sweep my floor or wash dishes without pain. I can't get in and out of bed or even turn over in bed without a struggle. I use a walker to get around or a wheel chair if I have a distance to go and always my husband's hand is holding mine for the real short distances. I would really love to live a life without pain. I would really love to be able to cook a meal without fear of burning myself or cutting a finger off. I would love to be able to fix my own hair. I would love to have feeling in my fingers, again. I would love to sit on the floor and be able to get up by myself. I would love to climb the steps to my front door without stopping and waiting for the pain to pass. I would love to walk without the fear of falling. I would love to regain my balance. I would love to take all the housecleaning responsibilities and cooking responsibilities away from my husband and be a real wife again.
StemGenex has given me the opportunity to get most of that life back, maybe even all of it. The cost will be $20,000.00, but for me it will be the chance of a lifetime. They would like me to raise the money in a 3 month time frame so I can have this procedure completed by the end of the year.
The only thing I have ever asked for is just your prayers. Now I am going to ask for any amount of monetary donation you can afford to give me. If you can donate to this fundraiser my family has made for me, it would be deeply appreciated. The money is tax deductible. Anything you feel able to give is appreciated. Prayers are also accepted.
