3 Innocent RLB Angels

On June 13, 2022, Debbie Karels went to the home of her estranged husband, Jason Karels, to pickup her children from his visitation with their three children, Bryant Anthony Karels-5 years old, Cassidy Rose Karels-3 years old, and Gideon Locke Karels-2 years old. What she found instead was a horror unimaginable to all. 

Debbie found the lifeless bodies of all three of her children laying in a bed in the home and her estranged husband missing. 

Debbie immediately called the police who rushed to the home for an investigation.

Jason Karels had murdered their children by drowning them one by one in the bath tub. He then fled the scene so that Debbie could find her children's lifeless bodies. 

Police found a note that included the words, "If I can't have them, neither can you."

When police finally caught up with Jason after a high speed chase, he confessed to every aspect of the heinous crime. Jason now sits in jail on a $10 Million bond.

This fundraiser is to help Debbie raise enough funds to cover all of her expenses that will arise from the final arrangements for her children, as well as to provide a level of financial stability for her while she learns to adjust in the wake of this horrific tragedy.  With no home, no car in her name, no income for any foreseeable future, and mounting expenses, we hope the money raised can be used to offset the financial anxiety of figuring out how to get by in a world that has taken everything from her, while allowing her to focus on her own healing and strength. 

The community support has been amazing and Debbie and her family are extremely appreciative of all of the support they have received. 

Debbie's brother, David Berg, has set up a trust fund with Debbie as the sole beneficiary to receive the funds from this fundraiser.
