(Funeral) 3 mos Charlie Killed in Car Collision
Donation protected
On behalf of my father, Vantha Chhim…
“On July 5, 2023, my brother’s entire family were victims of a devastating head-on collision on Pioneer Trail in Lake Tahoe. They were driving back home from a joy-filled, family weekend trip.
In the blink of an eye, our lives have been forever shattered as baby Charlie has now been declared brain dead from injuries sustained in this tragic accident.
He is 3 months old.
My brother, his wife, their 6-year-old son, their infant son, and my uncle were all seriously injured in the head-on collision and were airlifted to UC Davis hospital.
As you can imagine, my brother and his wife are overwhelmed with despair and grief as they face the unfathomable burden that no parent should ever have to bear. They are now left to live the haunting nightmare of a dream they once had for their baby boy that will never come true.
Everything still feels like a nightmare but reality is, we are confronted with the difficult task of arranging a funeral to say our final goodbyes to our beloved baby Charlie.
Baby Charlie currently remains on life support until this evening at 7pm, July 11, 2023.
Any amount of thoughts, prayers, generosity, or support means the world to us. At the very least, let this be a reminder to hold your loved ones close and cherish them dearly.
We would like to give sincere thanks to family, friends, and the community for their support as well as a heartfelt thank you to these two following pastors who answered the call to service at very late notice to surround our family with guidance, comfort, and compassion during this tragedy.”
Pastor Viseth Hou of United Methodist Church in Elk Grove and Stockton, Ca.
Pastor Cheng Yang of United Methodist Church in Sacramento, Oroville, and Marysville, CA.
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
