3 Ways to Help Janyne's Total Loss Phoenix Fire...

Donation protected
I am the middle sister.  My Biggest Sis Janyne, to your left and my right.

MY SISTER JANYNE LOST EVERYTHING Tuesday night Sept 8th, 2020 Phoenix, OR in the Almeda Fire!  KOBI TV live video coverage of Almeda or Glendower Fire

She hasn't been able to get back in yet as there have been gas fires in the area.  She will go in tomorrow, Friday, for the first time.  Her entire home is gone.  She has nothing.  She was thrilled to buy her Forever Home in the Spring of 2017!  "I am never moving again" she said!  All her treasures of a lifetime of living and raising a family... Gone.  The ornaments for her Christmas Tree that are delighted in each year like a sweet surprise, even though you know what it is... gone.  Her photos, electronic devices, the afgan that our grandma made, it too is gone.  She is here, and we are all so grateful, but we could use your help!  She could use your help!

She has insurance, and that is in the works.  The entire town and the next one over from hers, are all gone.  All burned in the fire.   The impact is huge and the entire community is suffering.  So even the best systems are slow moving.  Right now she could simply use the following to help her the most:

1)  LOVE and COMFORT   Support in any shape or form is appreciated.

2)  CASH FLOW    To garner daily supplies/clothes and pay for the interim living.  As a woman on a limited income and living within a tight budget, these extra expenses don't have room to be absorbed into Janyne's life.    Currently there are no hotels, and housing may be a challenge as many people are displaced.  The comfort of some cash flow would allow her to make a quick decision if something opens up.

3)  YOUR ASSISTANCE   To Spread the Word!   Your help, I know it seems simplistic to say that your contribution could make a difference in her life, but it absolutely can and will.  Beyond the dollars, I know that Janyne will feel the love from your donation be it $5, $50, or $500.  We will all appreciate it!

We all live in the NW, some of our family in Washington and some in Oregon.   We had all been feeling the fires of recent and have been surrounded by smoke for days, but on Tuesday, throughout the NW the winds picked up, and everyone was on high alert for severe fire danger.   Watching each others FB feeds, some of our family and many friends in central OR evacuated, some more in the Portland Area,.  Then we see that Janyne in So Oregon was also being evacuated!  What?  Really?

Evacuation notices starting ringing her phone and emergency personnel driving through the 55 and older community she lives in.  With an intense urgency,  physical mobility challenges and no outside assistance, Janyne was so fortunate to grab her dog Luna, her purse and herself and get out!  She did, she is safe... and stunned!

FB and messaging had been going crazy; where is she?  did she get out?  Finally a post from her daughter, yes, she made it out and is stuck in the lines and lines of evacuees all trying to flee!   Finally word that she is safe at her daughters, then, there is the long wait...

Watching FB, and local news feeds for any new information we find the live feed from KOBI TV Medford.   They had a camera placed on the hill and could pan  back and forth to all the hot spots, they were airing the fire and police scanners simultaneously.

I listened and I watched that live feed.  I asked questions to others.  This crazy technology that allows me 800 miles away to watch in real time the devastation that was occurring.   It was while watching the live feed that I hear the firemen say "We have to let it go", they were talking about the entire community she lived in.  My heart sank for her.  I ache on her behalf.  I am physically too far in distance to be of much assistance, but this, set up a GoFundMe on behalf of my big sis... This I can do!  And I hope that you will be able to help me fund the start to her new tomorrow.  Thank you all in advance!!!
