3 year old survives gun shot to the head.

On Wednesday February 14, 2024 my niece Skye McBride suffered a GSW to the head, while in the custody of her father. This tragic event occurred due to an unsecured firearm.

Skye is a ball of energy, a joy to be around and the star of our lives. She is the most happy, funny, beautiful, loving, and sweetest 3 year old you would ever meet! Known for making everyone laugh, non stop and keeping everyone on their toes with all the funny things she says and silly things she does.

Just like most kids she loves the color pink, Minnie Mouse, paw patrol and was looking forward to starting preschool this school year.

Skye current condition remains very critical and she is fighting, so very hard for her life. She is her mom’s only child and as you can imagine the family is struggling to process this as our world has been thrown into a whirlwind.

Not only has the entire family been uprooted from their normal life but going through this unimaginable tragedy has caused a great amount of mental and financial stress. We are spending our days and nights in the hospital with baby Skye.

I am looking to raise funds to help cover medical and living expenses to assist our family during this difficult time as we have lost jobs and now have loss wages and expenses. The physical and mental recovery for baby Skye, will be long journey and your help would be a blessing.

Life is going to be extremely different for Skye. The trauma she has endured and WILL survive is unimaginable. We are hoping to lean on our community through this difficult time.
