Support Bradley’s prosthetic thumb & fingers journey

Donation protected
On June 21, 2023, my grandson Bradley, was in a terrible riding mower accident. Tragically, he was backed over at a babysitter’s. The family is devastated and the parents have been taking turns day and night caring for him in the PICU. He requires 24 hour assistance for daily living beside the nurses taking care of him. He has had three surgeries already and will require one more in the PICU in the near future, then more throughout life. For three weeks, he will be unable to move his torso, right arm, left leg, stand, sit up, or walk due to a full body cast to grow veins from his pelvis to hand for a skin grafting surgery. Then another surgery in mid-July. Both parents have been in & out of work since June trying to get a few hours in here and there to still provide for their families & 4 year old daughter. The 24 hour care in the PICU, will continue until he recovers enough to come home, where he will still require daily assistance with all things we take for granted. He lost entire thumb, all fingers, & part of his right dominant hand due to blades not turning off in reverse. Deep burns, cuts from the mower belt, a broken ear drum, small hole in his skull, wounds over his face and body are other injuries he suffered. The family would greatly appreciate any help and prayers you can give at this time. The parents are hoping to get him a prosthetic thumb & fingers within the next year. (It will take approximately 5-6 months for hand to heal enough before another surgery). Daily physical therapy will be needed after his third and fourth surgery while healing. We do not know how many more weeks he will be in the PICU or when he can coming home from the hospital. Your donation and prayers for him to heal, get a prosthetic, and adapt are greatly appreciated to help Bradley get his “new thumb and fingers on his boo-boo hand” (as he calls it). And most of all - please share with your friends and family to help Bradley recover and adapt through this challenging life-changing injury.
Thank you,
Kelly Stringfellow,
grandmother of Bradley
