30 Days of Biking: 10th Anniversary Fundraiser
Since 2010, 30 Days of Biking has encouraged riders around the world to get on their bikes every day in April and share their adventures online with the hashtag #30daysofbiking.
An epic, inspiring community has gathered around this simple pledge. Years-long friendships and relationships have formed. Riders have pedaled their bikes beyond 30 days, continuing for hundreds or even thousands of days in a row.
Bicycling is a life-changing, world-changing practice, and we want to break down the barriers that keep people from getting on their bikes every day with an inclusive, supportive community and a simple push.
We've raised funds for Free Bikes 4 Kidz, World Bicycle Relief, and many other causes. Now, as we celebrate our 10th anniversary, the four-person Minneapolis team behind 30 Days of Biking is looking for your support for our very own organization.
The $6,000 we hope to raise with this fundraiser will benefit three big pillars of our efforts:
WEBSITE, $2,000: Our current website has served us well for many years, but we want to create a brand-new website that better celebrates our worldwide community. That means telling your stories, giving you an easier platform to share rides you organize, allowing you to create a personalized profile, and so much more. These funds will pay the designer and developer who are putting the new site together.
MARKETING, $2,000: As a social media–based pledge, we reach new riders through our channels on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The more people we reach, the more riders participate, the bigger and more vibrant our community becomes. These funds will help us promote posts and create campaigns to reach more people around the world.
EVENTS, $2,000: As we've grown, our events have become more ambitious, with efforts including a 600-person Minneapolis-Saint Paul kickoff ride in 2017 and a sold-out 80-person bike campout ride in 2019. For the first time in 2019, we hosted an event registered under the USA Cycling umbrella, and we want to continue making our events bigger, more welcoming, and safer for all. These funds will help us ensure we have the resources we need to host great events in 2020.
However much you can donate is great! Whether $1 or $1,000 (bless you). We've kept our efforts small and scrappy, but in this changing world, it's becoming more and more important to get more people biking and feeling the joy that biking brings!
Your donation will help us get more people riding bikes and sharing their adventures all April long.
Thank you for your consideration,
