30 Miles for 30 Years ❤ #BStrong

To my family & friends…

 

In previous birthday years I have fundraised for Vermont Adaptive Ski & Sports, running 148 charity miles and with your help raising over $4000 which is incredible! This year, I have decided to try something different to support an organization that has impacted me and my family directly. As many of you know my sister Bianca (B) was involved in a car accident this past August, leaving her with a traumatic brain injury that has required her to remain hospitalized through her procedures & recovery. During this time, a wonderful non-profit organization by the name of Hospitality Homes provided housing for my Mom and brother who have been driving back and forth (sometimes daily) to the hospital in Boston from Vermont. Expenses that normally would have been HUNDREDS of dollars for hotel or Airbnb fees per night were provided at a mere $25/stay with the work of Hospitality Homes. This organization not only assists families like mine stay afloat financially but also connects them with caring hosts who offer a warm & welcoming place to call home during their hospital stay.

 

Today I’m going to kickstart my birthday by running 30 miles to celebrate 30 years and by setting a goal to raise $1000 for this incredible organization by Sunday!
