30 Seconds Changed My Life – Taylor's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hey yall, it's Taylor, and I’m reaching out for support after surviving a terrifying and traumatic dog attack. On March 6, 2025, I was viciously mauled by a friend's dog. What started as a normal moment of play quickly turned into a nightmare when the dog randomly lunged at me, biting my arm, hand, and most devastatingly, my ear. The attack lasted nearly 30 seconds before people were able to pull the dog off me, leaving me severely injured and in shock.
I was rushed to the hospital, where I l received initial care, then later transferred to another hospital to undergo emergency surgery for my ear and stayed 3 additional nights. My lower left earlobe was completely bitten off, and I will need additional reconstructive surgery later this year. My arms and hands suffered deep puncture wounds, and so I am facing an slow and extensive recovery process.
I wasn’t able to create this GoFundMe until now because I physically could not. My dominant hand still hasn’t regained full movement or feeling in multiple places, and surgeons have advised that it will take physical therapy and months before I make a full recovery. I've slowly been getting better and I’m doing my best to stay strong, but the my bills and ongoing care are a bit overwhelming for me alone. I understand a lot of people are going through their own struggles, so any donation and sharing of this page is deeply appreciated.
I am asking for help to cover:
• Ongoing out of pocket medical expenses
• Reconstructive surgery for my ear
• Physical therapy for my injuries
• Mental health support
• Lost wages support
This experience has changed my life in ways I never imagined, but I am glad I'm on the road to recovery as this could have ended much, much worse. Thank you to my community for your support, kind words, and prayers as I work toward healing.
With gratitude and love,
Taylor
