300 MILES - TEAM OF 6 - WELSH 3 PEAKS

My name is Jordan and my son Jonah, was diagnosed with DiGeorge Syndrome (22q11.2 Chromosome Deletion Disorder) “DSG” in 2023, when he was 2. “22q11” deletions affect health and quality of life from birth through to infancy and childhood to adult life with over 180 physical, functional and psychological associations having been reported. Max Appeal’s mission is to increase awareness, the understanding of and the co-ordination of care in 2q11 deletion syndrome. Your support will enable Max Appeal to continue doing this and support those families affected.

We personally have been on the luckier side of life with the possible implications this disorder can bring. Needless to say the situational ups & downs this has had on our lives already as well as the unknown in the years to come means that this cause is personally close to our hearts, and we thank you too.

Therefore the emotions, mental fortitude, and the physical demand of the challenge we will be carrying out in September 2024 bears great resemblance and meaning behind.

We will be aiming to complete the Welsh 3 Peaks, starting from Plas Robin Retreats in Llandyssil, to Pen Y Fan in the Beacons, to Cader Idris, and finishing with Snowdon. Not only tackling these mountains as quickly as possible but we will be running the whole route from start to finish, embarking on almost 300 MILES. This challenge has already and will take a mass amount of training for and the event will be tackled in a Team Relay of 6 us individuals in the pursuit of doing so in under 48 Hours !!!
