The Appalachian Folklife Center Needs a New Truck!

For many years, First Church Bedford has been raising money for our mission partners in West Virginia, particularly the Appalachian South Folklife Center, where we stay on our mission trips. The Center hosts work parties from all over the country to come and help those in need. They have helped thousands of clients and impacted the lives of tens of thousands of volunteers who have come to help. The fees that groups pay to the Folklife Center cover basic expenses that keep things going at the center.

Yet, a need arises that goes beyond the Center's regular funding. Last year, the Center's truck fell apart. This truck has been faithfully serving the Center for many, many years. It has carried sheetrock, insulation, lumber, nails and screws, and plaster to our worksites. It has also taken away loads and loads of junk!

The center needs a new truck desperately! Your donation to this truck fund can make this a reality. We hope and pray you give generously so that more vital home repairs can be done, bringing hope to countless lives.
