Our Family with Medical Expenses and Bills

Hello everyone,
My name is Angela Mangiapane and I am a mother of 3 boys who has unfortunately fallen on hard times due to an unexpected surgery and am now facing a life long disability.
I generally would not do this but I have been put in a position where I have no other choice.
In late February I was experiencing hip pain that was so intense that I went to my local ER. While at the ER, the doctors examined me, ran some test and decided before my test results had come back that nothing was wrong with me and sent me home.
A few days later I lost feeling in my leg and I was unable to move it.
I knew something was wrong so I went back to the doctor. While at that appointment I was told that the ER doctor had discharge me before my MRI results has come back and was informed that I had a mass effect compression on my S1 nerve root; it was determined that I needed emergency surgery.
I had emergency surgery on March 1st. During the surgery they removed the disc herniation but unfortunately damage was already done.
I was release from the hospital 3 days later, and was told that I would be on bed rest for 4 weeks and would not be able to work for at least 8.
At first the doctors were confident that I would get my feeling and mobility back in my leg, but after 3 follow up appointments, it was determined the herniation and nerve damage was worse than they expected. I was told that the loss of feeling and mobility from my knee down is permanent.
I am currently back at work before recommend because I could not afford to take off any more time. As the primary provider for my family I had no choice.
I currently walk with the aid of a cane and I will soon be fitted with a leg brace for my loss of mobility and my permanent foot drop. This whole experience has been devastating to me and my family.
I am doing my best to keep good spirits, but I can not ignore the financial burden this has placed on my family.
Even though I am blessed to have health insurance, I am faced with a high deductible, a number of co-pays, and many of the hospital cost were not coverd; also, many of the specialists I have seen, and will continue to see are out of network and require monthly payment.
With all that being said, the medical bills from my surgery, co-pays, specialist visits, prescription cost, mobility aids and my time off work have left us financially struggling. Which is why I have created this gofund me.
I am a mother of 3 wonderful boys and I do my best to provide but because of everything that has happened I am struggling to do so. I am currently almost a month behind on all my household bills and I receive more and more medical bills every day.
As I ask for your help, please know that
I appreciate any assistance you can provide to help me and my family in this trying time.
However, with the state of the world and how much the cost of everything has increased, I understand that many of you are also struggling. I want to be clear that I am only asking for your help if you can afford to do so.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
Unfortunately, this is the story of many families who get their lives turned upside down due to medical issues.
I am fortunate that I am alive and that what I experienced was not worse.
I understand that nothing make me more deserving than any one else who has face the same or worse but all I can do is reach out and ask.
For all of you who are able to donate we appreciate your help and no matter how much it makes a difference.
For all of you who are unable to donate for what ever reason, please keep us in you thoughts. ❤️
Thank you
Angela Mangiapane and Family.
