Cancer medical bills

Hi my name is Shiva and I’m 23 years old. Last year in October I had a ct scan done and they found 9 masses, 8 behind my chest walls and 1 big one on my neck restricting blood flow and oxygen to my brain.

In November I had a biopsy/surgery done to remove that mass and a few days later received a call from the doctor saying that I have Hodgkin’s lymphoma. November was not only a hard month for me but for my dad as well, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Never did I think this would happen to us and at the same time.

At first I thought I would be able to work through the chemotherapy treatments but I was wrong. December 30th I had a port inserted and started treatment the same day. Immediately after chemo was over I had some side effects but was released a little bit later after I got the all clear but it has been a difficult journey with unimaginable side effects both mentally and physically. My whole world has been flipped upside down. At 23 years old, I was expecting to navigate adulthood, enjoy the new career I started but instead I was given a challenge that no one can ever imagine living.

One thing about me is that I never ask people for help because I feel guilty doing it but with not being able to work since December I am asking for a little bit of help in covering any medical expenses and bills.
