Help Kyle Get Home to Kenwood
Donation protected
This GoFundMe is organized by Ann and Alec Peters in Kenwood.
Our good friend Kyle Fisher was hit by a car on April 25. Kyle is a husband, father, beloved member of the Kenwood CA community, and dedicated volunteer with Glen Ellen-Kenwood Rotary and the SOS meal program at the Grange in Boyes Hot Springs. Kyle was in Charlotte, NC, starting out on a vacation with some long-time friends, when he was hit, suffering severe injuries including two broken vertebrae, a broken leg, humerus broken in two places, and multiple broken ribs. So far, he has undergone three surgeries at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte and is currently on a ventilator. While his medical situation is fluid and specific outcomes are unknown at this time, it is clear that Kyle will have to undergo an extensive, long-term recovery and rehabilitation period. When the time comes, the cost of transporting him back to California by air ambulance/medivac flight will be upwards of $43,000.
The purpose of this GoFund Me campaign is to financially assist the Fisher family in transporting Kyle home to Kenwood once he is physically/medically able to make the trip, and to help him with his recovery in any other way they see fit. Kyle’s wife Janet and other family members are with him in North Carolina and are at his side every day. They are very appreciative of all your love and support, financial and otherwise. While your instinct is probably to reach out to the family, please respect their privacy during this difficult time and visit this page for updates on Kyle’s condition as they become available. [Also note: The hospital does not accept flowers.] Please feel free to leave your comments and messages of support for Janet and Kyle and their daughters on this GoFundMe page. We thank you for your donation. Remember, no amount is too small and will be deeply appreciated. Let’s let Kyle and Janet know how much we love them!
Please share this GoFundMe page with anyone who knows Kyle, and post it on all your social media accounts.
Note: Apparently you can't add a comment or message of support when you make your donation. You have to go to your email receipt from GoFundMe, scroll down to the bottom where it says "Increase Your Impact," and click on "Add a comment."
