Send Johnny to Italy

Please help support this young man he is one of my best friends' son. Johnny Fetzer has worked so hard this year and has been given the opportunity to travel overseas with his school. Money is tight right now and because of that, he had already said well I guess I don't get to go. This kid puts his family first and does not want his trip to cost his family's food on the table. Johnny's parents have recently separated and this has been had on him and his family Johnny is the oldest of 4 siblings. He is a role model and support system for his family. Johnny is in the 9th-grade first year in public school. Johnny and his classmate will be performing all around Italy. This trip will give Johnny time for him, to show the world how how he has worked. Please help make Johnny's dream come true if anyone deserves this this kid does.

House of Hope testimony of Johnny

This is Johnny. He has been part of our House of Hope family for two years now and next summer he has the opportunity to travel to Italy with his school choir, given he is able to raise the money.

But before we ask you to support our Johnny, let me tell you for a second about him, because this kid, he is special. We want to see him go to Italy with his classmates.

You see, Johnny, he is a leader. But not just your typical leader, Johnny is a servant leader. We see this every week when he walks through the doors of House of Hope. Lately Johnny has been giving our messages during Youth Nights and it has been amazing to watch the way he is able to teach and lead the other kids. He is always eager to lead a discussion, a prayer, or a clean up crew (even if the mess was not his).

Johnny is the type of kid who no matter how the experience turned out, will thank you for the experience. We saw this after a camping trip full of the stomach bug, what we saw as a mess of a weekend, Johnny did not. He smiled big and gave his genuine thanks for a weekend of memories. He's a good sport. Johnny finds the bright side of every situation and makes sure to share it with the person sitting next to him.

Johnny is a caretaker. He is the oldest of four kids and is always looking out for the others. I've seen him stand up for them and put them in their place, all with an immense amount of love. Johnny is the type of brother that protects, leads, listens, and genuinely cares. The really cool thing? We see every week how that "older brother love" extends beyond his siblings to all the younger kids in our program.

Johnny is passionate. He's a storyteller and a goofball, but knows when to be serious. He is loving, kind, and SO smart. He works hard and shows gratitude for everything that passes through his hands.

And one more cool fact, when Johnny grows up, he wants to continue to take larger leadership roles at House of Hope, and oh how we hope he does!

As a House of Hope community, we would love to see Johnny go to Italy and hear the stories when he comes home. We would love for him to feel loved and supported in all his endeavors.
