Games For Cats

Hello,

I'm a volunteer for a cat rescue in Oregon, and one of the hats I wear is fundraiser. I'm also an avid gamer, and it has long been a dream of mine to combine these two things and host a game day where all proceeds go to the rescue. The problem is, in order to host a game day, we need games!

I want to have a game library where participants can check out a game and play at a free table. While I already have some games, I need more. Lots more. While people have offered to loan me games, and I'm grateful for their generosity, loaning games to the public comes with the risk of pieces getting lost or damaged, and I don't want to be responsible for someone else's game being ruined. Besides, if I build up a library of games, I can use it every year.

The kind of games I'll be buying are traditional board games like Checkers and Scrabble. I also want to buy some indie RPGs like Fiasco. Finally, I want to buy a few games to offer for door prizes, like Calico and Isle of Cats.

Any funding I get from this GoFundMe will go toward putting together the game day. If we go over $600, we'll use the money for other fundraising projects. It's all about helping the kitties and community outreach.
