Xavier Dombkowski

Xavier Dombkowski, a 16-year-old sophomore wrestler and honor roll student at Cathedral Prep, was recently diagnosed with stage 4B Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. This means the cancer has spread throughout his body, most notably to his neck, lungs (especially his right lung), and around his heart. It is labeled as bulky cancer since the tumors in his chest are quite large and will require aggressive and intense treatment. While his doctors are hopeful, Xavier and his family have a long road ahead of them and we want to help them however we can.

During the wrestling season, Xavier noticed some issues while doing cardio work with the team but wasn’t overly concerned. However, at the beginning of the postseason, he noticed his lymph nodes were swollen and had them looked at by the athletic trainer at Prep. When the wrestling season was completed and his symptoms were still present, his family decided to get him checked by a doctor. After initial testing was done, growths were removed and biopsied and Xavier was ultimately diagnosed with cancer.

Xavier and his father have a long road ahead including bi-weekly travel to UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh for chemotherapy. We have set up this Go Fund Me to help them through this very difficult time. We would be so grateful for any amount you would be willing to donate. Thank you for your support and please keep Xavier in your prayers!
