Sweet Gracie Boltz

Donation protected
Our sweet Grace Anne Boltz was the firstborn child of Steve and Peggy Boltz. Her twin, Sarah, was born just 27 minutes later and the family of four was complete. Gracie was her daddy’s little peanut and her mommy’s baby girl. She was her sister’s beautiful “twister”, a term reserved only for those twin sisters who are so close the words “twin” and “sister” must be fused to capture the bond.

On the outside, Gracie’s life was filled with such mountainous challenges that when explained would make anyone wonder, “How can you have joy through this?”. Grace never lacked joy. Her learning abilities peaked at a 3rd-grade level and the list of physical ailments was long. For most, far smaller challenges have resulted in great amounts of frustration, complaining, and even questioning of God’s plan. But not for our Grace. She was gifted with the greatest combination of faith like a child, compassion like the Good Samaritan, impartiality and forgiveness of the Prodigal Son’s father, and the unconditional love of Christ for all.

Grace spent her life loving on any and ALL she encountered. From the newest of babies, to her sweet grandmother figures, to complete strangers, and everyone in between. She was eager to pray for any who entered her memory, and would always choose to say goodbye with a blessing. Whether she understood it or not, Grace did not lay up for herself treasures on this earth, where moth and rust destroy, but she spent her days laying up for herself treasures in heaven.

Grace’s passing was sudden, being admitted to the Mayo Clinic ICU on Friday, April 28th and ultimately passing the evening of April 29th, 2023. These few days have been some of the hardest in our lives. The loss of a daughter, sister, and sister-in-law, has been difficult beyond words. And while the road of grief is not a straight or smooth path, the Lord has graciously been supplying healing and speaking truth into those of us most deeply impacted by this loss. The greatest truth, and our greatest hope in all of this, is that Gracie was a beloved child of God and is now in Heaven with her Father. We find peace envisioning Grace in her new and perfect body, running, seeing, hearing, singing and laughing – finally with no pain and no hindrances. Not only is her body set free, but her mind is finally set free.

Grace’s impact was felt deeply across the Valley, and we believe it extends well beyond what we as her family can even imagine. We have decided to open this fundraiser to help continue Gracie’s blessing and legacy and to help cover the medical costs incurred with her ICU stay and memorial. Steve and Peggy have so willingly given their lives to raise and care for Grace with as much love as could possibly be given and with the best care that could be afforded. As you are led, please consider contributing as a blessing to the Boltz family.

May the Lord Bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you. May the Lord lift up His countenance and give you His peace, and this is my prayer for you.” - Grace
