Mommu's Cancer slaying Minions

For those of you that know her... you may know her as Michelle's mom, Mike's mom, Mandi's mom or even Ms Darla, for those who rode her bus back and forth to school every day. You might also know her as Mommu or Mammu to her 6 grandkids. To Bill and Gene and Dottie and Dee, she's the baby sister. And to so so many people "outside" of the family circle, she's the one you call your second mom....and extra gran....the one that answers the call when you need someone...and a strong shoulder and open arms always open for hugs and comfort and support. Well, at this time in her life, she is the one needing those hugs and prayers and support. Facing down and fighting an aggressive and progressive stage 3 breast cancer in chemo and surgery and radiation. Physically unable to care for herself some days bc of the side effects, brave and spirited enough to shave her head when she first started losing her hair, sometimes too "proud" to ask for help but fighting it day after day after day with the best attitude and presence she can muster. The transportation back and forth for treatment, the hotel costs, the limited income from retirement and maintaining all of the day to day life responsibilities and sacrificing things for herself so she can still be the mom and grandma and "giver" she has always been. We would love to help her with the costs of these expenses... and expenses for upkeep of the house and the cleaning and the medical bills that will still keep coming, even with the insurance. Like an angel on the tree, standing in front of the department store, this is our way of making her an angel on a tree this Christmas and every little bit, every kind service, every well wish would mean the world.
