32 Neglected Animals Could Use Your Help

News from the Humane Society of Louisiana: 33 neglected farm and companion animals could use your help! With the assistance of the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff's Office, deputies and volunteers from Hayden's Hoofbeats Haven and Training rescue ranch removed more than 30 animals from a "rescue" sanctuary in Marksville, Louisiana. The young director, a mere 18-year-old, would purchase farm animals from a sale barn and take them to her ranch but fail to care for them adequately. The result? Many were malnourished and needed veterinary care.

Despite being warned last year, the young director continued taking in animals. Deputies cited her for 19 counts of cruelty to animals, and we are raising funds for their care.
