Shorty’s Medical Bills
Donation protected
Yesterday my partner Erin and I got the worst news you can get as a pet parent.
Late yesterday evening, our beloved dog Shorty collapsed. He struggled to get back up again. He was noticeably lethargic and listless afterwards. We rushed him to the vet clinic, and after some tests, the vet determined he has a mass on his spleen about 8cm in diameter. He will require surgery to remove it, otherwise the mass will inevitably rupture and cause fatal internal bleeding. Shorty is the light of my life and has been with us for eleven years, and I am not prepared to lose him so soon.
We’re now in a race against time. If the mass ruptures before they are able to operate, I will lose my baby. The surgery is NOT cheap, and between testing and staging for surgery, this is going to set us back several thousand dollars that we don’t have. So we have set up an emergency fund. My little family needs help right now. If you or anyone you know are able to donate anything at all, or at least share this page, we would appreciate that more than you could possibly know.
Thank you so much for reading.
