Asking for help is hard to do…

I pride myself on being hardworking & independent. Unfortunately, I hit a minor bump in the road in December losing my job that I had for like 15-18 years through various outsourced companies. The minor bump opened a better opportunity and what a blessing it will be.

I have managed to work during the summer. I start back to work full time in the school system on August 2. The only downfall is that I will be without a paycheck until the end of September. While I will continue working part time on weekends when my daughter is gone, unfortunately, that will not be enough to make sure everything is taken care of.

Those who know me, know my pride is strong and asking for help is just not something I like to do. My son would absolutely help but it’s definitely not anything I would ask him to do. He works and takes care of himself financially while attending KSU.

This is truly a hard pill for me to swallow, but I am swallowing my pride this time.
