Emily Hawley Needs Fixing

Emily is one of our own. Both a Paramedic and a Nurse. Em and her dad, Jay, were involved in a terrible accident while driving in South Florida. Both of them suffered severe injuries, Emily got the worst of it. Currently she's in the ICU at St. Mary's Hospital in West Palm Beach., sedated and on a ventilator. Most of her musculoskeletal injuries are on her left side (arm , wrist, ribs, pelvis, leg and ankle). She suffered severe abdominal injuries as well, including a perforated bowel and a lacerated liver. She has many surgeries in her immediate future. When it's time to come home, she'll need a lot of help.That's what this account is for. To offset any extraneous expenses to help her in her recovery which will take many, many months. The only reason I'm putting a cap on it is because I have to as part of the app. There isn't a limit or a goal. I know who we are and what we do. Nurses, EMT's, Paramedics, Firefighters, and Police/Law Enforcement definitely aren't made of money. But every little bit you can spare will help. Jay and Emily's family are very thankful for the support and prayers already sent their way. I am thankful as well for, once again, reaffirming what I already knew. That this job we do isn't just a job. It is who we are and how we live. By helping those in need. God bless you all.
