To help raise money for a very dear member of the St. Mary Magdalene community, Marsha Bright Smith, we have started this fundraiser.
Marsha’s husband, Gary, seemed as though he had been successfully battling cancer when his condition took an unexpectedly aggressive turn for the worse. Following a brief hospital stay, he passed away unexpectedly on April 8, 2022.
Gary and Marsha have two wonderful sons, Justin and Tyler. Justin is a student at UNC Wilmington. Tyler will graduate from Apex Friendship High School this year. Gary wishes for them to continue their education and become young men who will make a difference in the world. Gary also has two beautiful daughters, Michelle and Kelly. Both who are just starting out in their careers. Michelle and her husband, Anthony have a new business in the state of Washington. They have a wonderful daughter, Madison, who is loved and adored by the entire family. Kelly lives in Florida where she is helping her sister and brother-in-law with their business. Gary was so proud of the women they have become and was on the sidelines cheering them on.
With the help of our extended community, we hope to raise money to be used for all of the expenses associated with Gary’s passing and to support the family as they move forward after this tragic loss.
