Ruby ACL surgery
My name is Jennifer. More importantly, this is Ruby. She is my four year old Bullmastiff. Ruby's story is unfortunately like most pure bred dogs, who end up in shelters or rescues. She was used for a few litters of very expensive puppies, then discarded like garbage. I found her in October on a rescue site. I was not really looking to adopt a dog, but she looked just like my 12 year old Bullmastiff who passed away a few years earlier. I fell in love with her immediately and I wanted to give her a home. I wanted to help her forget that she was abandoned by her previous family. We bonded right away! I think she knew I was going to love her and care for her the right way.
Fast forward to last weekend. She was not her usual self. She was painful in her left rear leg and not bearing weight. We saw the vet today, and she has a torn ACL ligament that will require surgery. Unfortunately, that was not an expense I anticipated.
We would ask for any help possible in covering her surgical and rehabilitation costs.
