Operation Mercy
Join us in helping our Louisiana neighbors recently devastated by Hurricane Ida. Operation Mercy is filling up a “Truck of Sunshine” with food and supplies starting tomorrow, September 2, from the Church of the Nativity commons. More than 1 million homes and businesses in Louisiana and Mississippi were left without power as Ida, one of the most powerful hurricanes ever, hit the U.S. mainland on Sunday. The damage was so extensive that officials warned it could be WEEKS before the power grid is repaired. Our fellow Americans need your help. Drop off supplies (see below for list) Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8am-6pm at 6309 El Apajo, Rancho Santa Fe, CA 92067.
100% of donations will go to hurricane victims. Funds will be used to purchase supplies.
Operation Mercy is organized by San Diego residents in coordination with Holy Family Catholic Church in Luling, Louisiana.
