Emergency hospital expenses

Hi! I am baby Waylon’s mommy, Courtney. December 3rd 2023 we welcomed our sweet boy into this world. Waylon was born at 39 weeks with premature lungs due to being a type 2 diabetic myself and a repeat c section, which has caused a great deal of ups and downs for him. Waylon is currently in the NICU on oxygen and his discharge is TBD based off of his oxygen saturation. Each day is a new day to conquer something new! The issues we’ve run into are the NICU just not being apart of our plans, which it never really is for most parents. Due to this, Waylon’s daddy has been home and off of work for quite some time and he is the primary bread winner. We are falling behind in our housing costs, and hospital expenses have become so high we could never come back from them. Waylon has a big sister whom is 4, and since the NICU he is in is over an hour away, we also deal with childcare costs and such. It pains us to be away from her, and to have to leave him. Our daily transportation costs, housing costs, insurance copays, general lost income, and childcare costs have affected us greatly. As with a c section, I cannot drive for roughly a month, but we’re faced with the fear that Waylon’s daddy will have to leave us for work and in this time where our family is separated and the holidays are just weeks away, it’s a fear we do not want to have to think of. Any and all help is so greatly appreciated. As NICU parents ourselves now, our hearts go out to all current or past NICU babies and their parents. Even if you choose to just share our story, we send you our love and appreciation.
