Make Malachi Ours

My name is Gabriel and I’m a military member. My wife’s name is Shenita and we have 4 kids. We’ve raised 3 great older kids. Ones in the Navy, ones in college for broadcast journalism, and my oldest lives with us because she is paralyzed. In 2019, my family was asked to take in my great nephew because my niece was on drugs and could not take care of her kids. We took in 9 month old Malachi and he has brought us so much joy ever since. The father has never tried to contact Malachi for any reason what so ever. The mother has FaceTimed a few times but wants us to adopt him for a better life. Over the past 4 years we have taken steps to bring him closer and closer to our family. First, it was temporary custody, then permanent custody. Now we are going for adoption. Every step has become more and more expensive with lawyer and court cost. It has depleted our savings. At this point we are asking for help. Anything will help and we would be so appreciative.
