Memorial Fund for Yale Grad Student, Kevin Jiang

My beloved friend, Kevin Jiang was shot dead on Saturday night, 6th of February 2021.  Kevin was a shining light and lit up any room he walked into with his bright personality. He was the epitome of kindness, humor, humility, discipline and persistence.

Kevin was a graduate student at Yale School of the Environment and wanted to use his education to make a positive impact in the world. Kevin dedicated his life to volunteering at the church, cooking for the homeless, mentoring young people and touched the lives of those around him everyday. A week ago, he got engaged to a fellow Yale graduate student. Kevin was also a military veteran and a tank operator with the Army. Kevin loved to spread joy wherever he went and loved salsa dancing. His friends from New Haven, Yale and the Salsa Club will miss him and his enthusiasm for life. 

 We are all devastated by this tragic loss. We want to give Kevin the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes.

These donations will be used to help out his family during this difficult time. These funds will be given directly to Kevin's mom (Zhen Liu) in his memory.
