The "C" Letter Project
Donation protected
The "C" Letter Project is a grassroots movement centered around writing "Certified" Letters to the appropriate DECISION MAKERS and getting results concerning matters such as not receiving a high level of customer service at a local restaurant, not getting pot holes fixed on your street or a multitude of other experiences requiring IMMEDIATE attention. Writing certified letters really WORKS !
The "C" Letter Project is focused on "Winning with Writing." Certified Letters sent through the U.S. Post Office give you the verified proof that your written voice and thoughts are received, allowing no excuse for someone to say that he or she did not receive anything from you. Reference your certified letter receipt as PROOF !
Our current project involves bringing Anthony Ray Hinton along with his best friend Lester Bailey to Atlanta to speak at Therrell High School the morning of Monday November 2, 2015.
Mr. Hinton sat on Alabama's death row for 30 years for a crime that he didn't commit. Please go to this link to view his powerful story http://abcnews.go.com/Nightline/video/30-year-death-row-inmate-celebrates-days-freedom-30548291. He was completely exonerated earlier this year and cleared of all charges. His childhood friend Lester Bailey stood by his side the entire 30 years. His CBS 60 Minutes segment has been re-scheduled for Sunday October 25, 2015. Be sure to watch his story. Mr. Hinton enjoyes speaking on his belief in the Lord and never giving up. He serves as an inspiration to many.
The "C" Letter Project reached out to Mr. Hinton directly only months after his 2015 release. Our certified letter got to him promptly. He called expressing his gratitude and confirming receipt of our gift.
A meeting in Birmingham, Alabama (below) gave us the opportunity to fellowship and set an agenda for him to begin speaking to our youth in Atlanta and surrounding public school systems.
The "C" Letter project plans to bring Mr. Hinton and his best friend Lester to Atlanta for a fun-filled weekend starting Saturday October 31st and ending with Mr. Hinton speaking to our youth at Therrell High School on Monday November 2nd.
Afterwards, the "C" Letter Project would like to present Mr. Hinton with a check for at least $3000 - $100 for every year he sat on Alabama's Death Row.
