Bulaban Circus turned 2 years old in Spring, and we do not want to stop here! We need your support to keep our tent and activities alive, growing, and running.
After 2 years full of success with the children and the circus team in Lebanon, we want to continue doing what we believe in the most, creating life and joy in the midst of all the chaos and collapse. The huge positive impact our social circus had on the children and on all of us during those 2 years, providing a safe and creative bubble in the heart of the Bekaa valley, nestled in Juzuruna Buzuruna organic seed farm, gives us the strength and courage to face and overcome all of the ongoing challenges of our lives, and infuses us with much needed hope and vitality. It renews our capacity to dream and seek sparkling eyes with all the love our community shares with one another. It is a place where we all feel enchanted, comfortable to be ourselves, where we play, create, and actively be seen, accepted, loved and appreciated. We explore and develop our hidden talents as life skills and show them with much confidence in front of our community. We empower each other in so many ways!
At Bulaban Circus, we celebrate the arts for social change. We believe in enduring diversity and inclusivity in our society. We work with radical imagination and applied effort to open horizons and give possibility to what seems impossible. We work with children of 3 to 16 years of age coming from refugee communities and underprivileged rural areas. We believe we can coexist and celebrate all of our differences to collectively grow in collaboration and creativity.
Cuurently we are facing a lot of financial hardships. After the successive economic, social and political collapses, and the current war on Gaza and the South of Lebanon, accessing funds to continue our work has been challenging. We need your support and solidarity so we continue our work on the ground.
Your support will help us continue offering:
Weekly classes and training including circus arts, clowning, theater, acrobatics, music, puppet and costume making and much more! Involving more than 10 artists, clowns, and facilitators in the program working with more than 40 kids!
Seasonal carnivals and parades where we share publicly on the streets with all of the neighboring community, friends, and family our talents and wondrous ways of enchanting the world, and bringing more magic into life.
Acts & performances developed by our creative team of various artists and performers and the children themselves, where we present our work in theater form and funny performances full of colors, puppets, creatures, giants and more! .
Street Clowning all over Lebanon as a form of public intervention to alleviate stress and infuse the streets with humorous clowns, jugglers, and small acts as direct action for social change.
Animating activities and events offering a service to animate groups of children in different areas and contexts of schools and gatherings to play, interact, and create open explorative environments of creation and celebration!
Bulaban’s team is working to create a sustainable model and self-sufficient income generation through developing acts and performances and touring them around the country and maybe outside of it! And selling our services and workshops to whoever is curious to work with us, but till then, we still rely on external funding and the generosity of our networks and communities.

Der Bulaban Circus ist diesen Frühling zwei Jahre alt geworden und wir wollen, dass er weiter existiert!
Damit unser Zirkuszelt und das Spiel am Leben bleiben und wachsen können, brauchen wir Eure Unterstützung!
Nach diesen zwei erfolgreichen Jahren mit den Kids und dem Zirkusteam in Libanon, möchten wir Bulaban Circus weiterentwickeln, vergrößern und all das weiterhin tun, an das wir aus vollem Herzen glauben.
Es hat sich gezeigt, dass die Zirkusarbeit unglaublich positive Auswirkungen auf die Kinder, aber auch auf uns alle hat.
Das Zirkuszelt ist für uns ein Safe Space im Stress und Chaos, den wir tagtäglich im Libanon durchleben.
Mehr denn je glauben wir daran, dass unser Zirkus ein Ort sein kann, der uns verzaubert, uns authentisch und spielerisch sein lässt.
Ein Raum, der uns ermöglicht, einander wahrzunehmen und wertzuschätzen.
Ein Ort, der uns in neue Rollen schlüpfen lässt, was Kreativität, Spontanität und verborgenen Talente zum Vorschein bringt.
All das wollen wir der Welt zeigen und gemeinsam bestärken wir uns darin. Wir bringen einander zum Strahlen!
Wir im Bulaban Circus feiern die Künste für den sozialen Wandel. Wir glauben an dauerhafte Vielfalt und Inklusion in unserer Gesellschaft.
Wir arbeiten mit lebhafter Vorstellungskraft und ganz praktischem Einsatz, um Horizonte zu öffnen und geben dabei dem scheinbar Unmöglichen Möglichkeit.
Wir arbeiten mit Kindern im Alter von drei bis 16 Jahren. Sie kommen aus geflüchteten Gemeinschaften und aus benachteiligten, ländlichen Regionen.
Wir glauben, dass wir koexistieren und unsere Unterschiede feiern können, um gemeinsam in Zusammenarbeit und Kreativität zu wachsen.
Jetzt stehen wir vor großen finanziellen Schwierigkeiten. Nach den aufeinanderfolgenden wirtschaftlichen, sozialen und politischen Zusammenbrüchen und dem aktuellen Krieg in Gaza und im Süden des Libanon war es eine Herausforderung, an Mittel für die Fortsetzung unserer Arbeit zu gelangen. Wir brauchen Ihre Unterstützung und Solidarität, damit wir unsere Arbeit vor Ort fortsetzen können.
Eure Unterstützung wird uns helfen, weiterhin Folgendes anzubieten:
Wöchentliche Kurse und Schulungen - einschließlich Zirkuskunst, Clowns, Theater, Akrobatik, Musik, Puppen- und Kostümherstellung und vielem mehr! Einbindung von mehr als 10 Künstler:innen, Clowns und Moderator:innen in das Programm, das mit mehr als 40 Kindern arbeitet!
Saisonale Karnevals und Paraden - bei denen wir auf der Straße öffentlich mit der gesamten Nachbargemeinde, Freund:innen und der Familie unsere Talente und wundersamen Wege teilen, die Welt verzaubern und mehr Magie ins Leben bringen.
Aufführungen - Von unserem kreativen Team aus verschiedenen Künstler:innen und Darsteller:innen sowie den Kindern selbst entwickelte Darbietungen und Darbietungen, bei denen wir unsere Arbeit in Theaterform und lustigen Darbietungen voller Farben, Puppen, Kreaturen, Riesen und mehr präsentieren! .
Straßen Clownerie - im ganzen Libanon als eine Form öffentlicher Intervention, um Stress abzubauen und die Straßen mit humorvollen Clowns, Jongleuren und kleinen Auftritten als direkte Aktion für sozialen Wandel zu füllen.
Aktivitäten und Veranstaltungen - wir bieten Services an, um Gruppen von Kindern in verschiedenen Bereichen und Kontexten von Schulen und Versammlungen zum Spielen, zur Interaktion und zur Schaffung offener, erforschender Umgebungen des Kreierens und Feierns zu animieren!
Das Bulaban Team arbeitet daran, ein nachhaltiges Modell und eine autarke Einkommensgenerierung zu schaffen, indem es Acts und Performances entwickelt und sie im ganzen Land, und vielleicht auch darüber hinaus, auf Tournee bringt! Und wir verkaufen unsere Dienstleistungen und Workshops an alle, die neugierig sind, mit uns zusammenzuarbeiten. Bis dahin sind wir jedoch weiterhin auf externe Finanzierung und die Großzügigkeit unserer Netzwerke und Communities angewiesen.
